Chase Petit, Assistant Principal

Mr. Chase Petit

I am thrilled to enter my 6th year as an administrator at J.B. Martin Middle School and my 12th year in education, all within St. Charles Parish Public Schools. My journey as a lifelong learner began right here in St. Charles Parish, attending A.A. Songy Kindergarten through my graduation from Hahnville High School in 2009.

I went on to earn my Bachelor’s in English Education from Louisiana State University in 2014 and later completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership at Southeastern Louisiana University in 2018.

I began my teaching career in 2014 at R.K. Smith Middle School as a 7^th grade ELA teacher and team leader before returning home to J.B. Martin as an Assistant Principal in 2020. As an instructional leader, my primary focus is supporting our ELA teachers to ensure every student's needs are met.

Beyond the classroom, I oversee reading intervention programs (including REWARDS and SONDAY), support English Language Learners (ELLs), the librarian, coordinate school and state testing, and manage campus safety, maintenance, and facilities.

As a proud former J.B. Martin Cougar myself, it is a true honor to give back to the community that raised me. I look forward to serving our students, staff, and families with Cougar Pride. Every day! Every way!
