As the Dean of School Climate and Student Support, my top priority is fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

My approach to student support centers on nurturing the whole child through social-emotional learning, fostering a culture of respect and dignity, and encouraging accountable behavior while celebrating positive choices and personal growth for all.

I strive to lead with empathy and uphold clear and consistent expectations to empower our students to gain the confidence and resilience they need to succeed inside and outside the classroom.

I have served as an educator for 23 years, 18 of which have been in St. Charles Parish.  I worked as a Spanish teacher for 16 years at Hahnville High School as well as 5 additional years in various surrounding districts.  This is my second year serving as Dean of School Climate and Student Support at J.B. Martin.  I earned my B.A. in Secondary Spanish Education from the University of New Orleans in 2004, and I earned my Master of Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2021.  My experiences in our school district, as well as other surrounding districts, have afforded me the opportunity to engage with a diverse group of students with varying educational needs to reach 1 common goal: success!

I am so excited to spread Cougar Pride through our community once again this year--every day, and in every way!
