The mission of J.B. Martin Middle School is to ensure high levels of achievement for all

J.B. Martin Middle School offers a top-notch education for all scholars while also providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential. By participating in numerous academic programs, the arts, extracurricular activities, and athletics, scholars can flourish and reach optimum levels. The school has a reputation for excellence with students placing at parish, regional, and state levels in multiple fields and teachers who serve as national presenters/consultants. Our goal is to create a school where learning is an exciting and successful venture.

Just the Facts: A Recap of the October School Board Meeting

The St. Charles Parish School Board held its monthly meeting on October 22, 2025, at the St. Charles Parish School Board Office in Luling. Agenda items included proclamations, bid authorization requests, personnel items, request for proposals and lobbying services, ratification of substantial completion at the School Board Office, Ad Hoc Committee recommendations, policy updates, and recognitions.

Employees Strengthen Assessment Practices in Professional Learning Communities Leader Training

St. Charles Parish Public Schools continues to strengthen Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) as part of Goal A of the district’s Long Range Strategic Action Plan, focused on ensuring every student achieves high levels of learning by mastering essential standards.

In September, approximately 350 PLC leaders, staff development coordinators, school administrators, and Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team members participated in professional development centered on assessment design and best practices.

Just the Facts: A Recap of the September School Board Meeting

The St. Charles Parish School Board held its monthly meeting on September 17, 2025, at the Professional Learning Center in Luling. Agenda items included memory resolutions, proclamations for Red Ribbon Week, United Way Month, National School Lunch Week, National School Bus Safety Week, Louisiana Educational Diagnosticians’ Month, and Digital Wellness Month, along with personnel items, insurance renewals, surplus declarations, board policy revisions, and an industrial tax exemption application.
